Oh my Gosh, thanks Dave!
Seriously, I have to give all the props to Dave on this one. He came up with the awesome riff for this - all I did was make it into a song. That sounds like I did all the work - but no. Dave's idea spawned this - I could never have thought of this on my own.
Well, a funny little story about this song. A while back, Dave sent me a copy of his FL 3 so we could collab (I'm using 5). So, I'm looking through it and I find this file called "aman.flp". I ask if he's done anything with it, he says no, go ahead. So, I try opening it up in FL 5. It doesn't import properly. The TS404s sound rather screwed up. So, I try exporting an MP3 from 3 and importing that into 5. Nope - I couldn't get it to loop properly, no matter what I tried.
So, last resort. I open the file back up in FL 3. I load up a Fruity Wrapper in the effects, and use FL 5 as a VSTi instrument. It works. I then put in a bunch of MIDI OUTs and write the song. So, yes, I had FL 3 controlling FL 5. Kinda sick and weird, but it worked.
Still, I gotta thank Dave for the idea and for putting this up. I didn't really do that much!

So, the instruments used in this song. It's completly Dave's idea until the raining Saw at 0:25. Next, doubling the back, is a modified Glass Bell. Then a melodyish thing which is a heavily modified "Hollow Piano" synth. 1:25 - that's a mellow guitar synth, which I added because I actually decided to play my guitar along with the song while composing, and it sounded really cool. Then, I start doubling the dropping square with my own instrument, and adding a counter to it. Melody comes back in. Drop the drums, and we're done.
I mean, again, that's all I did. Not much. This is Dave's idea at heart. I just helped it grow up.

I really like this one, guys. That main progression is very entrancing, and i love the melodies floating over top of it. Great choice of instrument voices.

I think what is striking about this track is the way it just builds and builds. A simple melody becomes many great counter melodies. A simple harmony becomes a more beautiful complex one. A nother great piece of electro pop. Well done you two.

This is a lovely meld of the two of you. I can hear so much Cagey House, but it's like it was put in a blender and made into one of those really really yummy fruity drinks.
This is the kind of song that should be playing during the really important events in life.

Dig the layering of the melodies. The blending creates a melody of its own(if that makes sense ).Awesome collab

The way the two main riffs work against each other is interesting. I think I understand what zique is saying above. The various voices come in and out smoothly and make for a gentle melodic voyage.

Reminds me a bit of Apples on the Sub, with those soaring dkiefer "weeee-ooooooows," but quickly becomes something much more synthy and epic than ever before! I'll admit there's a bit of a video game sound to this one, though why I feel guilty in saying as much is beyond me. For some reason I guess we associate video games with mediocre sellouts who get paid by the note. Regardless o' connotations, I must say I'm really enjoying this. Feel like I've got a wonderful pair of goggles and an amazing pair of lungs and so have decided to do a little interstellar exploration in nothing but my swimming trunks. Immediate, painful death notwithstanding, it's quite a rich fantasy landscape to with this amazing piece of music. You've got me inspired!

This completely rocks you two! I'm going to have to rip this down to my mp3 player when I get home.
I love how the counterpoint on this one. It doesn't sound as frantic as a lot of the other Cagey House pieces. I am not as familiar with Koiu Lpoi but based off of this, I'm going to have to run on over there.
Again, this rocks!

Smooooooooooooooooth---Uuuuuu---like a silk purse! Very richly textured with a wide image and still a pinpoint center. The progression and melody is very Cagey but the texture is quite uniquely not. A bit mellower. Just terrific guys! I didn’t catch the sow’s ear part though!

Fraternizing with the spectacle of other life forms, juicing the apples from good time Mrs Copperfield's orchard hostelry, or could be plain old fashioned hanging out the washing on a dry day....all of everything and the nothingness of peace....
That's enough from the dusty cellar of wiggly silly thoughts, this is a sci fi piece of grandeur, the making of giant airspace scenery has already taken place & I'm just here to enjoy it and by the way at this altitude the view is spectacular, always original here, always avant-garde & pure pleasure for the listener. Thanks guys, another winner

Very sweet and somewhat abstract tune - I like the layering of melodies that makes everything into an ever-more-complex repetition. I expected to hear some Aman sounds in there, but unfortunately not

This whole thing is so full of great orchestration that it is literally perfect.
The synth sounds are so nice and smooth, the beat fits so well in this piece, everything is done so well...i'm really impressed!
The melody rocks, and everything that backs it up latches on to it and make it fill up to the brim and is kept so smooth that not even a drop goes over the edge.

Wooo... it's been a while since I've listened to your stuff, but it seems to have grown up a bit (in the nicest possible way). I like very much how the melody and the soundscape develop all rather nicely through the song to create a gentle sort of dream like effect. Which reminds me I need to get some kip.
Great darts both of yers
