Rail travel usually gets me shifting around in my seat uncomfortably whilst getting bored. However, I'd take this journey anytime! I've just seen rail travel in a new light! This was like some kinda mystical journey, full of distractions and new thoughts which grab my attention as the old ones pass by. A beautiful blend of sounds Great stuff!

This xylophone sounding thing is just really , oh and then the train starts!
This is like a musical quest for the holy transportation grail! Nifty sounds all over this thing.

Definitely a mystical feel to it. I like the lower droney stuff, the pit-pat percussion, that huge sounding lead ... and all the weird noises. Lots of atmosphere here, very nice man! I wish riding the El were this cool.

this feels like resting on a train after killing something - a relationship, a friend, a career, an affair, etc. this could have gone on for another 10 minutes without any complaint by me. i like the vaguely major key section around 0:50. the marimba part is really sweet like CANDAHH. sonically, Mr. Dave this is completely awesome - my favorite piece of yours from a production stand-point. (Rain Down the Dead is still #1 for me)

Again, more listening, because this is a step into a place that is entirely constructed from volcano rock. The back and forth stuff in my ears definitely has that feel of a station, a train station or something; the burst of energy before the drop into the more frantic melodic stuff -- I can feel the seat pushing on my back.
Those percussive things at the beginning and end remind me of kalimba music, or maybe gammelan stuff.
In addition to whatever else I've said, I'm actually blown away by this piece because it keeps growing on me and I keep listening to it over and over. I never listen to anything over and over.

Very cool start---almost Blue Man---ish. Awesome sounds. Damn that crash @ 1:05 nearly shot me out of my seat! This is quite ambient with that bass drone and those lofty melodies compared to some of your other material---melodies are beautiful as usual. There’s a bit of that trademark ® Cagey sound there---right there. I love it! My only complaint---if you can even call it a “complaint”---is that it’s too short---IMHO! Great stuff as usual!

Oooh, I see you've got a new one up! Why didn't you let me know? I feel like I've stumbled across the next installment in a serial that I've been waiting for for so long I've forgotten. Alright, finally streaming. Uh, oh, deceptively chill and mysterious intro. Don't think I'm going to pump up my volume and relax just cause things aren't crashing and wailing with delight from the get-go! That synthy plucky harp thing had a kind of medieval melody to it...maybe I was mistaken about the crash and wail, 'cause this is a totally new sound for you, man. While your other songs are simply dance parties of joy, this one more like a exciting conversation among some of your own more intellectual friends: There's less jumping about and rollicking, but there's still intensity and interest. Listening again, as I'm going to try to think of this in terms of the title. Ha, that brings a new meaning to the intro...I see a futuristic Uber-train warming up, with tesla coils instead of stove-pipes, electrical discharge scattering in all directions as cables are removed, switches thrown, and the large terminal doors thrown open. It's so fast and smooth that the only feeling of movement comes from the rapidly changing landscape, represented by the various panning growls and subdued eguitar whines. Has a kinda post-apocalyptic feel. Very atmospheric!

Yeah, this is awesome - next time you upload a song, let me know !
I love that pit-pat marimba sounding background, the constant droning sounds. The plucked interlude like sound, the swrily backgrounds, I love it all. It's great how the chords seem to change, yet it's all constant, yet not. Man, all those sounds, crashes, swishes, I don't know how you do it, but it's great.
Especially with the title, this really reminds me of Half-Life 2's beginning. "Wake up, and smell the ashes..."
Very nice job all around!

Fantastic aural imagery. Nasir really captured the feelings in his comments and I'm not sure that I can add more than what he already said. The choice of tones and instrumentation carries the imagery very well. I agree that there is enough substance here to expand it into a longer piece. There is a mix of peace and tension that balances well and focusses my attention.

What a full bodied, rich mix! It's weird, 'cause it's like you're making the tones themselves fill the spaces... and then sharp things seem to slice through... and aural objects are dancing in, out, and all around my speakers, it's so vibrant!

Woof was getting to the real technical mastery that went into this. No sound is alone, it is wedded to another, or is the nemesis of another. Then there are families of sounds which hold together the mood of each section of the song.
And the dramatic noises, completely vivid and powerful, the steam and objects flying by. For me it's trees. I think of Amtrak from Reno to Truckee, near lake tahoe.
and the melodies, playful and motivated, I was just skiing today, and these phrases make me think of looking up at a cloud 40 feet above my head and watching it move, piece by piece, yet still as a whole.

Nice! I love how you panned the sound. Your music voices (sounds)are clear and unmuddied with fog and mist. It takes you on a "pure" journey.

Rich and very clean... every part has the proper room to breathe... I love this kind of composition, and can only hope that this trilogy here is the beginning of something really special!
Experimentation truly rules, and it's a refreshing treat hearing it from someone as established as yourself!

I begin to feel you are working very much like a poet, using the sounds in patterns and rythms. Yes, it's poetry without words. I like it very much. Spellbinding, fascinating, quirky and thought-provoking.

Once again, "Great keyboard/sequencing work!" Simply smashing!
That pedal tone in the first minute has a vibrant anger about it...
The ambiance you create is pure delight!
